Gas is stored inside of a carbon dioxide cylinder under high pressure and only makes an exit when injected into your sparkling water machine.
Changing your CO2 cylinder for a Quench sparkling water machine is simple. Follow the video above or the step-by-step instructions below to learn how to make sparkling water for your office.
How to Change Your CO2 Cylinder in Seven Easy Steps
Step One: Check to see that you have all the items you need to replace your CO2 cylinder. Those items include:
- A new CO2 cylinder
- A wrench (if one is not provided with the cylinder)
Step Two: Check that the “No Gas” indicator on the front of the Quench machine is lit. If the light is not on and the machine is not dispensing sparkling water, please contact us.
Step Three: Turn off the CO2 to your Quench sparkling water machine by turning the gas valve to the right. Remember, lefty-loosey, righty-tighty!
Step Four: Using a wrench, detach the old cylinder from the regulator assembly.
Step Five: Remove the safety cover from the new cylinder and discard it. Attach the cylinder to the regulator assembly and then tighten it with a wrench.
Step Six: If you have the Quench 523, secure the cylinder in the machine base using the Velcro straps.
Step Seven: Turn on the CO2 to your Quench sparkling water machine by turning the gas valve to the left.
